You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
(Isaiah 26:3)

For weeks after my spinal fusion surgery, I doubted myself. I even doubted God. Had I misunderstood the peace about this major surgery in the months preceding it? Could I even be sure of what God lays upon my heart?

“Don’t return to ministry! You’re not able and why would you serve God when He allows so much suffering?”

“No!! I will not listen to the voice of the enemy!”

Just as wars rage in the middle East, they rage within us. A conflict of good and evil. These battles aren’t fought only here on earth. They are fought in heavenly places, between demons and angels (See Daniel chapter 10). Territorial spirits fight over nations, states, cities, and neighborhoods. The root of our problems begins there, and yes, they even battle over you and me.

They sow seeds of doubt, creating an inner war. Our flesh naturally doesn’t want to trust God, but the enemy intensifies the conflict.

We will go through seasons of wavering faith, like I did, but God restores us. When we commit to focus on Him alone, not the pain or problem, and we trust completely in Him, peace will rule in our hearts and minds.

This week, join me as I celebrate the first-year anniversary of Faith That Walks on Water. Each day, I will have video messages and lives on all my Facebook platforms. We will dig into emotional strongholds, and the doubts that lead to fear, worry, rejection, and discouragement.

I challenge you to commit to step out of the boat and have a faith that walks on water. Let’s show the enemy that we understand his tactics and with God, we will have victory over doubt.

Dear Lord, You have already given me victory over the enemy. You have put him under my feet. While weapons will form, You don’t allow them to prosper. Help me as I commit to step out of the comfortable boat into the unknown. Hold my hand as I walk with You. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

DIG DEEPER

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)
