When we pray the Word of God, we are praying His truth and the enemy cannot stand against His truth, which sets us free. We are also praying His will. Praying through the armor of God with specific and strategic verses gives us confidence of God’s acceptance, heals our heart and can help prevent bitterness.

Belt of Truth

to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

(Ephesians 1:6 NKJV)

Breastplate of Righteousness

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15 NKJV)

Shoes of Peace

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV)

Shield of Faith

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. (Genesis 50:20 NKJV)

(I have switched the order here so that the verses come one after the other.)

Sword of the Spirit

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, (2 Corinthians 10:4 NKJV)

Helmet of Salvation

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, (2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV)
