7 Bible Verses About Healing

When disease and injury attack our bodies, we desire healing. Thankfully, God is Jehovah Raph, the God who heals. These verses have become a portion of my prayers as I have prayed believing in faith that the Lord will heal me and restore my hearing loss and balance.

  • Recent upper respiratory infections have left me with Sudden Sensory Neuro Hearing Loss, and on the day this will post, I may have to endure injections into my ear. I don’t know how God will choose to heal or when, but I know His answer is “Wait!”

I pray these verses will encourage you and become part of your daily prayers as you seek His healing for yourself and your loved ones.

  • Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. (Mark 11:24 NKJV)
  • Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    And forget not all His benefits:
    Who forgives all your iniquities,
    Who heals all your diseases,
    (Psalm 103:2-3 NKJV)
  • Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
    Save me, and I shall be saved,
    For You are my praise. (Jeremiah 17:14 NKJV)
  • But He was wounded for our transgressions,
    He was bruised for our iniquities;
    The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
    And by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV)
  • Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2 NKJV)
  • who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24 NKJV)
  • O Lord my God, I cried out to You,
    And You healed me. (Psalm 30:2 NKJV)

Lord God, we ask, we seek, and we knock. We come expecting because You are our Healer. Remove every sickness, every disease, and every unclean thing from our bodies. In Your time, according to Your will. We give You the glory, honor and praise for what You have done and for what You are about to do! In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we are covered by His blood. Amen!
