*So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27 NKJV)

Each of us are a creation of God, created in His own image. Even though a child isn’t fully developed at conception, it bears the image of God.

*Did not He who made me in the womb make them?
Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?
(Job 31:15 NKJV)

God fashioned us in the womb.

*I was cast upon You from birth.
From My mother’s womb
You have been My God.
(Psalm 22:10NKJV)

*“You shall not murder.” (Exodus 20:13 NKJV)

Abortion is murder!

*For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
(Psalm 139:13-16 NKJV)

This passage is one of my favorites. Not only does it speak of God forming us in the womb as many other verses do, but it states that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. I praise God that in spite of my genetic makeup which slowly diminished my vision, I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Whatever I may lack in vision, God has made me complete in many other ways. Look at the last portion of this passage; God has a plan for each of us. Those plans are written in God’s book, before our days are upon us, God fashioned them. Many great people with a purpose filled life have been tragically murdered in the womb. Perhaps the doctor who would have discovered the cure for cancer, AIDS, and even Corona. Be encouraged that God has a plan for your life, even if you can’t see it right now.

*“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you;
Before you were born, I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV)

I saved the best for last. This single verse is all we need to understand God’s view on when life begins. The only choice a woman has is to either use birth control or say “No!” It’s no longer her body when another one grows inside her womb.
