God’s Word for You in 2019

By Carolyn Dale Newell

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Romans 1:16-17 NKJV

Unashamed. That is the word God gave me for 2019. Actually, He revealed it to me three months early. I am unashamed to proclaim the truth of God. I must boldly share the gospel in these last hours of these last days.

The Word of God is powerful. If it was a bomb, it would be the granddaddy of all bombs. If it was a pain reliever, it would be the extra, extra strength. If it was a hurricane, it would be a category ten.

Nothing else can transform lives like the salvation of God. It heals the drunk, the addict, and the heart filled with sin.

It has the power to rescue people from eternal damnation. Burning forever. And it is the very same power by which God clothes them in the righteousness of Christ.

The gospel begins with faith and continues with faith. God grants us the faith necessary to believe in His great love. He sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to be born of a virgin, live a servant’s life, and die on the cross. All this, to pay for our sins. We believe and receive salvation by faith. we live by faith. Now, this is where we mess up. We are accustomed to living by fact rather than faith.

We talk faith, but do we walk faith?

When we live by faith, we live like we believe God is telling the truth. When the one living by faith loses their job, they don’t fret because they know God will provide another job.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19 NKJV)

When the person living by faith gets some bad news, they say, “I’ll trust God with this. He has the final say.”

The person living by faith doesn’t cower to fear. They refuse to spend time worrying. They stand on the promises of God and they believe these promises to be true.

Friend, are you living by faith today? Are you entrusting every part of your life to your heavenly Father? Are you sharing the good news of Jesus to others?

We are all commissioned as ministers to witness. Who can you enlighten today? Are you walking by faith, not only talking faith? Do you live the abundant life of joy, peace, and victory?

If not, begin today to trust God with every part of your life. He is faithful. I pray God’s best for you in the new year.

Heavenly Father, help us all boldly spread the gospel, not only with our lips, but with our lives. Help us live by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
