Hope Still Exists
The screams of Haitian citizens haunt me. My husband described the scene as they raced through the earthquake’s rubble trying to escape the rapidly approaching ocean. Streets became rivers as terror gripped their souls.
The next day, footage emerged showing the Afghan people chasing airplanes, grasping onto the wings, desperate to leave Afghanistan or die trying. Death seems better than the life they fear.
Finding Supernatural Peace
Is it possible to really have peace? There are wars and terrorist threats everywhere. Marriages end in divorce, even among Christians. Families are feuding, and churches are splitting. People are losing their jobs while others battle diseases to stay alive. We live with the reality of crazed gunmen, identity theft, and home invasions. How can someone have peace?
When Thoughts Overstay Their Welcome
Have you ever had company over and they stayed longer than you liked? Maybe you had to go somewhere, or you needed to get to bed early. Our thoughts can do the same thing, wearing out their welcome.
