Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
(Ephesians 3:20 NKJV)
We awoke to a bitter cold December morning. The pain already had a head start, probably due to the weather. I stayed on an icepack until I needed to get dressed for the graveside service for my mother-in-law. I dressed as if temperatures were in the teens. Even though we stayed in the mausoleum. Since my back pain began, I needed more warmth than usual.
I sat down on a metal folding chair covered with a red scarf for the family. It would be difficult to sit on that chair without the pain increasing.
But God… Don’t you love those “But God” moments? I remained comfortable on the chair. Pastor Ray leaned over, “I promise I won’t keep you sitting there long.”
I assured him, “it’s not bad sitting here. Don’t rush on my account.”
The pain returned on our way home. At least God comforted me during the service. It seems the car is the worse place for my hips and back.
Whatever your situation, look for God’s abundant grace. Look for your “but God” moments.
This will post on Monday, December 5, 2022. I have my appointment with a spinal surgeon that day. Please cover me in prayer. Thank you.

I pray for you a lot, Carol. I too have pain in my body so I understand. Please know you are a blessing to me in your writings but also your reaching out for prayer. I’m sorry about the death in your family. We all need our brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for each other. Blessings my sister
Darla, I praise God for you and your encouragement. I will lift you up to the Lord. I have such a better understanding for pain now.
Love the But God moments. Thankful you had relief for the service.
God is so good.
