I must admit I haven’t always responded in the bibliccal way when God disappoints me with a “No.” How do you handle it? If you’re like me, you probably don’t handle it like we should. So, how should we respond?

I found it interesting how we both had a different take on the subject. You see I began to follow God closely only back in 1996. I knew there was zero I could do or not do to change Gods love for me and I also knew zero of my efforts would affect any of His answers to my prayers. Yes and no are both answers. Reading your account of God saying no and Looking at my life with God saying no was interesting. You see I always experienced far more NO’s than YES’s from God. So when I got a distinct NO from God that was my life norm. I am instead wowed when I receive a clear definite Yes from God and those Yes’s care few and far between only because most of my requests are not a part of Godswill for my life.
Thanks for sharing. I have had no’s before: my vision, my daughter… but I think what made this season so hard was they were rapid fire no’s like a machine gun, and I was in so much pain, and depressed. My pastor said the enemy tried to either take me out or silence me, but I am finding this life of doing less and letting God lead more fulfilling.
