For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18 NKJV)

Something in your life needs a resurrection. I know mine does. This resurrection power of Christ lives within believers. It’s the power that brought Jesus from death to life. I don’t know about you, but I rarely tap into this powerful arsenal we possess, but today that changes.

Let’s dig into Paul’s prayer in Ephesians chapter one. In verse 18, Paul prayed for the church at Ephesus to know about the hope and riches of our inheritance. Then he adds:

and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

(Ephesians 1:19-21 NKJV)

“His exceeding great power” is something we need to know. It’s so important that Paul prayed God will help His people know it. As we continue reading the passage, we see that this is the same power that raised Christ from the dead, resurrection power. Then let’s just take a peek at the powerful next verse: far above all principality and dominion… Then if you flip over to Ephesians 2:6, Paul told his readers we are also seated with Christ in those same heavenly places mentioned above.

So, why is life so drab? Why do we struggle with our health and pain? Why does depression loom over us? Why are our finances bleak? Why are marriages rocky? Why are we lonely? Why are we stressed out?

Because…we need a resurrection!

The enemy attacked my faith during my recent ordeal. I became a wimpy Christian and not a powerful prayer warrior. Today, that ends! I rededicate whole areas to my Lord, and I have to work on them also. I have to take the time to pray and back that prayer up with fresh faith.

My friend, where do you need a resurrection? I’ve created a list that may contain some areas that you can pray through. I know all of us need a resurrected prayer life. Ask God to show you where you need His resurrection power, then begin doing the work in prayer and strong faith to push it through.

Heavenly Father, my life needs a resurrection in these areas. I commit them to You. I commit to stronger faith. Empower me in the name of Jesus! Amen.
