But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things arepossible to him who believes.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears,
“Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Mark 9:22b-24 NKJV

Why must there be a difference between God’s will and your miracle? Do we believe God is such a killjoy we fear praying for His will?

As I have matured as a Christian, I learned to trust God. And I learned to pray expecting my answer.

Friend, I know how difficult it is to believe. Will God do for you what He did not do for another? Satan doesn’t want us to believe. People don’t want to believe. They are afraid it will not happen. I would rather say I trusted God to heal, but it was not His plan rather than lack the confidence in Him to do the impossible.

Admitting you have a problem is always half the battle. There was a father who desperately wanted a miracle for his son. He knew he should believe Jesus would heal him, but he also knew his faith was weak.

Can you believe this man said, If You can do anything….”? Was he so distraught he did not realize who he was speaking to? Jesus can do anything He desires. Why did this man say “If You can do anything”?

Because that is exactly what you and I say when we don’t believe. We might not be as blunt as this father, but he was being honest. God knows our hearts. Are we being truthful with ourselves when it comes to how much we believe God will do for us?

In the words of Jesus Christ Himself, “all things arepossible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23b). What do we do when our faith wains in the face of discouragement? We pray like the father of this tormented boy. We ask the Lord to help our unbelief.

Jesus is faithful. He will give us what we desire and need. If our desire is to trust Him completely, He will deliver.

If I could tell you one thing today, I would tell you to believe for your miracle. Will God heal you? Will God give you the financial breakthrough you need? Will God restore your marriage? Will God heal your child or grandchild? Will God save the drunk? Will God stop the addict from craving drugs? Will God turn your depression to joy? The answer is yes, if it is His will.

We lack the knowledge and understanding to know which prayers are according to God’s will. Therefore, we must believe for a “Yes”. No one can understand the mind of God. Believe for your miracle while praying for His will.

Heavenly Father, we are all at various levels when it comes to our faith. You commanded us to pray. You commanded us to pray boldly. You also commanded us to believe You will answer. In the name of Jesus Christ, help our unbelief. Amen.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”Mark 11:24

Memorize that verse. Write it down and place it everywhere. Believe for your miracle.
